Once you have confirmed a booking, exSend keeps you informed every step of the way. You don’t need to wonder where your package is—our real-time tracking system shows you exactly what is happening on the ground.
This guide explains how to read the status updates, communicate with your driver, and share the tracking link with others.
1. Understanding Delivery Statuses #
After you book a ride, your screen will update automatically as the delivery progresses. Here is what each status means:
1. Looking for Driver #
- What it means: Our system is broadcasting your request to the nearest available drivers.
- Action: Please wait a moment. This usually takes less than a minute.
- Cancel: You can still tap “Cancel order” at this stage without any fee.
2. Order Accepted! / Arriving in X mins #
- What it means: A driver has accepted your request and is driving to the Pickup Location.
- Driver Info: You will now see the driver’s Name, Vehicle Model (e.g., Blue Toyota Camry), and License Plate.
- ETA: The estimated time of arrival (e.g., “3 mins”) is displayed at the top.
3. Driver Arrived #
- What it means: The driver is physically at the pickup location waiting for the package.
- Action: Please meet the driver or ensure the package is ready for handover.
4. Driver on Route #
- What it means: The driver has picked up the package and is driving to the Drop-off Location.
- Live Map: You can watch the vehicle icon move in real-time along the route.
5. Package Delivered! #
- What it means: Success! The driver has dropped off the item.
- Proof: You will see a confirmation screen, often with a photo of the package at the door or a signature confirmation.
2. Communicating with Your Driver #
Need to send a gate code, clarify an apartment number, or ask the driver to wait? You can contact them directly through the app.
- Look at the driver information card at the bottom of the tracking screen.
- Chat: Tap the text field labeled “Send message to your driver” to start a secure chat.
- Call: Tap the Phone Icon to call the driver.
- Privacy Note: Your phone number is masked, so the driver does not see your personal number.
3. Sharing the Trip #
If you are sending a package to someone else, they will want to know when to expect it. You don’t need to text them updates manually—just send them a live tracking link.
- On the tracking screen, tap the large blue button labeled “Share order details”.
- Choose how you want to share (SMS, WhatsApp, Email, etc.).
- The recipient will receive a web link that lets them see the driver’s location and ETA in their browser, even if they don’t have the exSend app installed.
4. Viewing Past Deliveries #
You can look back at your delivery history to find old receipts or check the details of a completed order.
- Tap the Deliveries icon (Box icon) in the bottom navigation bar.
- Use the tabs at the top to filter:
- Ongoing: Active orders happening right now.
- Scheduled: Future orders you have planned (if applicable).
- Completed: A history of all your past trips.
- Tap on any completed delivery to see the Delivery Summary, including the route map, final cost, and timestamps.
