exSend operates as a fully cashless platform to ensure the safety and speed of every delivery. By saving your credit or debit cards to your secure wallet, you can book drivers instantly without scrambling for your wallet every time.
This guide covers how to add new cards, remove old ones, and how we keep your financial data secure.
1. Safe & Secure Payments #
Your financial security is our top priority.
- Encrypted Data: We do not store your full credit card information on our servers.
- Trusted Partner: All transactions are processed by Stripe, a global leader in online payment security.
- No Cash Handling: Drivers do not carry cash, which makes the experience safer for everyone involved.
2. Adding a New Card #
You can add multiple cards to your account. This is perfect if you want to keep your personal delivery expenses separate from your business logistics.
- Open the exSend app and tap the Profile Icon (bottom right).
- Tap on Saved Cards (or Wallet).
- Tap the “Add New Card” button.
- Enter your card details:
- Card Number (16 digits)
- Expiration Date (MM/YY)
- CVC (3-digit security code on the back)
- Zip/Postal Code (if required for verification)
- Tap Save Card.
Note: You may see a temporary $0 or $1 authorization hold on your bank statement. This is just a test to verify the card is active; it will disappear automatically within a few days.
3. Selecting a Card During Booking #
When you are sending a package, you can choose which card to charge before you confirm the order.
- Proceed through the “Send a package” flow.
- On the Confirmation/Summary screen, you will see your default card listed near the bottom.
- Tap on the card name (e.g., “Visa ending in 4242”) to open your list of saved cards.
- Select the card you wish to use for this specific trip.
- Tap Confirm Delivery.
4. Removing a Card #
If a card has expired, was lost, or you simply don’t want to use it anymore, you can remove it in seconds.
- Navigate to Profile > Saved Cards.
- Find the card you wish to remove.
- Swipe Left on the card row.
- Tap the red Delete (trash can) icon.
- Confirm that you want to remove the payment method.
5. Troubleshooting Payment Issues #
If you are having trouble adding a card or booking a ride, check these common solutions:
“Card Declined” Error #
- Check Funds: Ensure the account has sufficient funds to cover the estimated delivery cost + a small buffer.
- Bank Security: Some banks flag new online transactions as suspicious. You may need to approve the transaction via your banking app or call your bank to authorize “exSend.”
“Invalid Card Information” #
- Double-check the CVC code and the Expiration Date.
- Ensure there are no typos in the 16-digit card number.
Cannot Delete the Default Card? #
- If you have an active delivery in progress, you cannot delete the card currently being used for that order. Please wait until the delivery is completed.
- If you only have one card saved, add a new card first to make it the default, then delete the old one.
